Hi Jodi, thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I have enjoyed my dining experience for every meal at both restaurants where every sitting has been buffet-style. Both restaurants offer a variety for all palettes at every meal. Chef Mickey’s and The Crystal Palace offer Disney Character interaction, and are included on the
Disney Dining Plan (1 Table Service credit). I recommend that you make Advanced Dining Reservations through
My Disney Experience before your vacation begins, to ensure your optimal seating time, at these highly popular restaurants.
The Crystal Palace is located inside Magic Kingdom Park (theme park media ticket required), whereas
Chef Mickey’s is located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, conveniently located on the Monorail line, with easy access to Magic Kingdom Park. The Disney Characters you’ll see at Chef Mickey’s are Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto, and at The Crystal Palace, you’ll be greeted by Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tiger and Piglet. I just know that you’ll enjoy the food, character interaction and festivities at both restaurants and that you’ll make an informed decision based on your needs and Disney Character preferences.
May I recommend a delicious, hearty breakfast at The Crystal Palace one day, followed by a festive dinner at Chef Mickey’s another day. Both restaurants are always on my dining agenda on every trip.
Happy planning and please feel free to ask any other questions.
