It's been about 15 years since I was at Disney World. Back then I received a free dvd with a map to all the parks. How could I get another one with current events/attractions/etc?

    Hey there, Angel!

Thanks so much for bringing your question to us here at planDisney! We truly appreciate the opportunity to share our Disney vacation experiences with Guests like you who are making plans for your memorable vacations.

Your question brings me right back to my own Disney vacations from 15 years ago, and I still cherish all those memories. Fifteen years ago, my wife and son and I took our first trip to Disneyland Resort in the spring and then followed that happiest trip with a return to Walt Disney World Resort that summer. I can still remember how excited my son was to meet Stanley from his favorite Playhouse Disney show when we toured Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

What I absolutely love about vacationing at Disney destinations is that the more the magic changes, the more the magic remains the same. I'm happy to share that you can preview all that's new since your last visit 15 years ago without even needing to play a DVD. First, let's talk about theme park maps. When you visit the Walt Disney World Resort website and check out the theme parks area, you'll find an overview of each of the theme parks and you'll also find the theme park guide maps. For example, if you visit the Magic Kingdom Park website page, you'll see you can view the same theme park guide map that is printed for Guests. Each of the main theme park pages provides a link to their theme park guide map.

I'm also happy to share that the Walt Disney World Resort website gives you easy access to a completely interactive map that lets you fly over all the theme parks and Resort hotels and zoom in to see the details for attractions, dining locations, shops, and more.

But hold on to your Mickey Mouse Ear Hat, Angel, because I can share even more fun updates to help you plan your magical return! If you download the My Disney Experience mobile app, you'll have quick and convenient info to help you plan and manage your day-to-day Disney fun. The app provides interactive maps with step-by-step directions, attraction overviews and wait times, entertainment showtimes, shopping and dining guides, mobile food ordering, and much more. The app also displays all your plans in one place -- your theme park tickets and reservations, your Resort accommodation reservations, your dining reservations, your Disney PhotoPass photos, and more.

Let me tell you about two more resources that can also help you with getting the most of your Disney vacation time. The Disney Parks Blog is a terrific source for current happenings and will keep you in-the-know as you plan your visit. The planDisney Video Library features my fellow planDisney Panelists sharing their best vacation tips and experiences to help you as well.

Angel, I'm certain that Mickey -- and all your favorite Disney friends -- will be so happy to see you return to Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any questions as you're planning your stay, please just ask away here at planDisney.

    Enjoy your Disney days!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
