About 10 years ago on a visit to WDW, my friend and I rode up in the front with the driver of the monorail. I think my four year old daughter would love this, but does Disney still permit this? Obviously a lot has changed in 10 years. Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

Yes, a lot has changed in the past 10 years, you are right about that, but this is still something they offer (based on available seating).  There is a limit of up to 4 guests that can ride up front and when you arrive at the entrance to the Monorail you will need to ask the cast member if there are seats still available with the driver for your ride.  He/she will probably just send you to the front of the monorail when it arrives and you can ask the driver yourself as they are boarding.  We ask to do this on every one of our trips to Walt Disney World and it really is very special....for young and old!  Don't give up, if it happens to be filled up when you ask then just ask again the next time you are going on the Monorail.......you should be lucky at least once during your trip to have this special seating.  We always manage to secure seats up front a few times during our vacation.  We have even received monorail co-pilot licence cards (as a souvenir) to remember this special experience.  Have a magical day!

    Best wishes,
