Hello, Margaret. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Good news, Margaret! Walt Disney World does continue to honor non-expiring tickets even though they are not for purchase anymore. To use these tickets, you will need to convert them to new tickets that are compatible with the MyDisneyExperience account system. To do this, you can call the
existing tickets support line at (407) 566-4985. The Cast Member helping you over the phone will be able to give you all of the details that you need to get your tickets back in working order. The phone lines typically open up about 7:00 a.m. each morning. I'd try to call as early as possible, Margaret. The phone lines are experiencing some higher-than-normal call volumes and the wait times can get long. I've had great luck making my phone calls first thing in the morning.
In addition to your Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket, you'll also need a
park pass reservation to visit one of the theme parks right now. A park pass reservation is sort of like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. Once your new tickets are linked to your MyDisneyExperience account you can head over to the park pass reservation website to start the process. You'll choose your party, the date on the calendar and then the theme park you'd like to visit. If there is availability, you'll be taken to a confirmation page. After you've made your selections, you will be able to see your park pass reservations under the itinerary section of your MyDisneyExperince account.
Margaret, I hope this helps point you in the right direction for
converting your tickets. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great day!
