I have a 5-year-old & 4-year-old. We were planning on arriving May 13th and spending the day at Magic Kingdom. We were going to spend one night at one of the Value resorts, then spend May 14th at Hollywood Studios. Do you think this is enough time?

Hi Amanda!  I have stayed for ten days at Walt Disney World and it still isn't enough time!  I think the best thing for you to decide is how much time can you actually stay?  If it is only for one night then try to plan well in advance to make the most of your one day in each park you have chosen.  You can now get dining reservations and if you would like a table service restaurant I would do that now.  For the first day you will be in the Magic Kingdom and would select something like the Liberty Tree Tavern or Tony's Town Square.  You can call 407-939-3463 to make these reservations.

When you arrive on the 13th you might want to go to the resort you have chosen, check in, leave your luggage and then head to the Magic Kingdom.  This way you will not have to worry all day about your room and luggage sitting in the hot car. Or better yet if you go to the resort first you can park your car and take the Disney transportation to the parks!

Make sure you don't over sleep and lose the precious moments in the second park.  Check-out and ask if you can store your luggage until later. Decide the park.....Hollywood Studios or the Animal Kingdom would be great ideas.  Take the bus to the park and enjoy your day.  Again it would be good to get one meal reserved now and you can go over the dining choices by clicking HERE for all the parks.

In checking about the Extra Magic Hours I see that the Animal Kingdom Park is open late for resort guests on the 13th from 5-8 p.m. and the Magic Kingdom will have the extra hours on the 14th from 6-9 a.m.
