Welcome to planDisney, Wendy!
Making
dining reservations is one of the things I get really excited about when planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many wonderful places to choose from. I love trying out new restaurants and going back to old favorites. My children can be a little picky too. Thankfully, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
While restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort each have their own policies, most are very accommodating and may allow adults to order from the kids' menu. At
counter service locations, it’s usually straightforward to order an item from the kids' menu for your son. However, at
table service restaurants, this is typically at the discretion of the Cast Members.
When you check in at a table service restaurant, simply ask a Cast Member if they can accommodate your request. In some cases, they may offer an adult-sized portion of a kids' menu item, which will be reflected in the price.
It’s important to note that some table service locations, such as those with prix fixe menus (e.g.,
Chef Mickey’s), require all adult Guests to pay the set adult price, regardless of whether they order from the kids' menu.
I hope that's helpful, Wendy. Please stop by again if you have any more questions. As we say in Liverpool, "Have a proper boss holiday!"
