Can my 10-year-old order off the kids menu if we have the Disney Dining Plan?

    Hi Judith!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I'm happy to hear you're planning to participate in the Disney Dining Plan on an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. My family loves the ease and convenience of the Dining Plan, knowing our meals are taken care of before we even arrive for our vacation.

My youngest child is somewhat of a picky eater, and sometimes prefers the offerings on the Kids Menus over the adult dishes. The good news is, with the Disney Dining Plan a child age 10 and up will be able to order from either the adult or kids' menu at every meal. While younger children (9 and under) on the Dining Plan are not allowed to order adult-size portions at Table Service venues, it is never a problem for older children to order meals from the children's menu.

Walt Disney World Resort does a wonderful job accommodating Guests with specific dining requests, and you shouldn't have a problem if your 10-year-old wants to choose from either menu.

I hope this helps with your planning and preparations for your upcoming vacation - have a magical day! - Diane W.
