We have a 15-year-old with Down syndrome. Last time we cruised he was in the younger kids club which worked out fantastic. How do we navigate the older kids club with him? The thought of him being able to leave the club on his own makes me really worried!

    Welcome to planDisney Angelica!

You and your family must be so excited to have a cruise planned with Captains Mickey and Minnie at the helm! They are looking forward to having you onboard for a magical voyage.

Please read through the information provided on the Disney Cruise Line website. There are links and phone numbers provided so you can discuss your questions and concerns so your 15-year-old will have a safe and magical experience at the Youth Clubs

You may also want to look at this document for Information for Guests with an Autism Spectrum DisorderAlthough you have cruised before, this may be a helpful reminder of some of the onboard procedures you can prepare for.

Finally, I suggest utilizing the Open House times when you board your Disney Cruise Ship. This is a great time for your whole family to familiarize themselves with the Youth Clubs and speak to the Counselors and Youth Activities Managers. You will find the Open House times listed on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once onboard.

Wishing your entire crew a magical voyage with Disney Cruise Line!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
