How does my 10-year-old get his Disney ticket on his phone so he can access the parks get photos, et cetera?

Hello Vicki! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a wonderful trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth with your whole family. I can already picture all the fantastic memories you're going to make!

My little guy just turned 4, so he's not quite ready for technology yet. But I can't wait for the day when he'll be old enough to explore the theme parks on his own and have his own magical adventures.

The service you're interested in is called Disney MagicMobile, and it's a feature of the My Disney Experience app. It lets you create digital passes that can be shared and used on eligible iPhones, Apple Watches, and Android phones. With a digital pass linked to your tickets, your son will be able to enter the parks, connect Disney PhotoPass images to your Disney account, use virtual queues and Lightning Lane selections, and even charge purchases to your Disney Resort hotel folio during your stay (if you're comfortable with that and give him the PIN, of course).

But here's an important detail to keep in mind: while you can create passes on Android phones, you can only share them through Apple iMessage with other guests who have an iPhone and are in your contact list. This sharing feature isn't available on Android devices using Google Wallet at the moment.

Setting this up is super easy! First, link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account. Then, head to the My Disney Experience app, tap the 3-line "hamburger" icon (☰) in the bottom-right corner, and select the Disney MagicMobile tile. Follow the instructions to choose your pass style. Finally, tap the plus icon (+) and follow the prompts to add your MagicMobile pass to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Once your digital wallet is set up, you can easily share your passes with your son through the Apple iMessage app, and he can then add them to his digital wallet.

I hope this info helps you out, Vicki. If you have any more questions in the future, feel free to reach out anytime. Helping friends like you plan their magical experiences is always the best part of our day!

    Cheers
    Nilson
