Greetings Laura!
Thanks for stopping by with a wonderful question! And, a very warm welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The Disneyland Resort is committed to making sure all Guests are able to experience the magic of “The Happiest Place on Earth!” That includes Guests with mobility or cognitive disabilities. Once you’ve arrived inside the theme park, stop by
Guest Relations to chat with a Cast Member. The Disneyland Park location is at City Hall while the Disney California Adventure Park location is at the Chamber of Commerce. You will be asked to explain your son’s needs so the Cast Member can assess what accommodations can be made. One solution is the
Disability Access Service (DAS). This service provides guests with a return time for attractions, so they don’t have to wait in the standard line. If a Cast Member signs your son up for DAS, you’ll be able to schedule return times at the various Guest Relations locations throughout the theme park.
You may maximize your time in the parks by choosing to use
Disney MaxPass in addition to DAS. For a set price per person, Disney MaxPass gives you the ability to make digital
Disney FASTPASS selections right from your mobile device. You can make reservations for your entire party using the
Disneyland App on your smartphone. Disney MaxPass eliminates the need to visit the individual distribution kiosks at each attraction. Plus, if you've added MaxPass to Park Hopper tickets, you can make FASTPASS selections for either park, no matter which park you are currently in.
If you have additional questions before your visit, I recommended contacting Disability Services at (407) 560-2547.
I hope this helps! Please come see us again if you have any more questions.
