My 17-year-old brother doesn't have an ID or bills in his name that come to our house. Does he need to bring proof of residency since he's under 18 or will my proof of residency cover him too since I'm the adult of the group?

Hey there, Lauren! Welcome to planDisney.

I love that you are taking your little brother to the Disneyland Resort! I'm the little sister in my family, and I have some awesome memories of going to theme parks with my big brothers when I was a teenager. I hope you have the best day ever together!

I'm glad to hear you're aware of the current requirements that are part of the phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort. Currently, only California residents may visit the theme parks, and proof of residency may be required. At this time, minors do not need to show ID to prove residency; if you are over 18, you should have your state-issued ID or other proof of residency on hand in case you are asked. Note that everyone in your party who is 3 and older must have valid theme park admission and Theme Park Reservations to enter Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

Lauren, since your visit to Disneyland is rapidly approaching, I highly recommend reading the Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates and news. The Returning to a Land of Magic webpage is another helpful source and will be kept up-to-date with the latest operational and health and safety guidance. If you think of any questions as you count down the days, please come back and see us here at planDisney!

Wishing you and your brother a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort!
