    Hi. This year we are staying at the Port Orleans-Riverside Resort. My question is can we request to stay in a resort room closest to the main pool and restaurants? last year we had a pretty long walk back and forth this yr. we are wishing to be closer.

    Hi Pete!

    Great choice! Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is one of my favorite resorts! There are many room options available at this resort. The closest building to the Sassagoula Steamboat Company building (which is where the Riverside Mill food court and Boatwright's Dining Hall are located) is building 14, in the section called Alligator Bayou. If you wish to request this area you will need to ensure that you reserve a "preferred room".  Once you make your reservation, you will be able to request this particular building as well when you do your on-line check via your My Disney Experience Account.
