Hi Margaret,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your really great question!
From my experience, one of the best ways to access the beach at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort would be to have a dining reservation at
‘Ohana or
Kona Cafe (or a
Mobile Dine Walk-Up reservation if available). This way, you’d have access to the parking lot of the hotel. Once you finish your dinner, enjoy some time at the beach and Seven Seas Lagoon. With a dining reservation, you have just a few hours to park at the resort, so you’ll want to time your dining perfectly so you can finish and head down to the viewing area to see the fireworks. An early evening reservation would probably work!
Now, you could try either riding the
monorail over from the Ticket and Transportation Center or walking from
Magic Kingdom Park (past the
Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to the Polynesian). No promises here, but if you wanted to try this option, you should start making your way over to the Polynesian at some point in afternoon, that way you’re already at the resort before the fireworks begin. You could even do a mobile order at
Captain Cooke’s for dinner!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you plan for your July 4th holiday. If you have other planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
