Hey there, Dawn! Welcome to
planDisney.
I see that you have a trip to the
Most Magical Place On Earth coming up in just a few short months. I know you've got to be getting so excited. June is such a great month to visit. The weather is just perfect for afternoon swims, I hope you'll plan some time in your itinerary to enjoy the pool.
Dawn, children's menus at
Walt Disney World are technically for those Guests ages 9 and under. It is going to be up to your particular server at select restaurants whether or not they will allow your older kids to order something off of that particular menu and what you'll be charged. Walt Disney World wants every Guest to enjoy and have a magical time, I really don't think it will be a problem at all. In fact, I've even ordered a grilled chicken breast off of the children's menu to add to a salad before with no trouble. My daughter went through a picky phase and at one restaurant where she couldn't find something on the menu the head Chef came out and spoke to her about creating something that she would enjoy. They really are so accommodating. A smile and a please and thank you will go a long way. If you are dining at all-you-care-to-enjoy places and your kids would like the more kid-friendly version of the offerings, which they always have, it is not a problem but I did want to mention that they would still be charged the adult pricing - no matter what they eat. And of course, at quick-service dining locations, you can order off of any menu that you would like so getting the children's menu offerings at these places is as easy as bibbidi bobbidi boo.
I hope this helps ease your mind. I am certain that your server will be able to assist you and your kids with ordering something on the menu that they will enjoy. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun!
