Welcome to planDisney, Emily!
Your little one's most magical vacation is just around the riverbend! You will forever cherish the memories that you'll make next month. Watching my toddler taking some of his first steps in front of
Cinderella Castle is just one of many moments that solidify Walt Disney World Resort as our happy place. The best part? As you mentioned, kiddos aged 2 and under can visit the Disney theme parks for free!
Because your little one does not need a valid theme park ticket or reservation, they also will not need to be included in
Disney Genie+ purchases. So, as long as the older Guests have access to the Lightning Lane, the little one is good to come along with you! Woohoo for quick access to fun attractions like "it's a small world,"
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, and
Na'vi River Journey.
Many attractions have height requirements, and if your kiddo isn't quite tall enough to ride, they will have to wait outside of the queue. If you have multiple adults in your party, I strongly recommend that you ask a friendly Cast Member near the front of the queue's entrance to set up
Rider Switch. While one party goes through the standby or Lightning Lane queue (with purchase), your tiniest family member waits with an adult. Then, the second party (usually a limit of two people) will ride via the Lightning Lane. My family can't get enough of this perk!
Oh boy! I hope you all have the best vacation ever next month! And please let us know if you have any further questions as you plan.
I'm all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
