We have a 7 year old and a 4 year old. Should we plan to spend full days at each park or come home to rest in the afternoon and then go back out?

Hi Coleen!  All children react differently to new stimulus and new situations.  For my children we would set out in the morning and often not return until evening.  Our kids slept when they needed to in our arms or in the strollers.  They adapted well to this and we never had to leave to return to a resort for naps.  However, many children will not accept napping in a stroller and for these kids taking the time to return to your resort will save you many hours of unhappy children later. Over-tired kids are most often very unhappy kids.  A few hours away from the parks can make all the difference in the world for them. This is a judgment call for you as you know your children the best!
