Teens on attractions

June from GA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I have a 10 year old and a 2 year old. What happens when there is a ride that both my husband and I want to ride but my kids don't want to. Should I still do child swap or single rider?

Hey there, June! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by with your question.

I love that you are thinking ahead as to how you and your husband can enjoy all of your favorite attractions while you have your kids in tow! I keep coming back to the Walt Disney World Resort because there are truly attractions for everyone's tastes.

As of today there are four attractions around "the World" that offer single rider lines. If these are ones that neither of your kids are interested in experiencing, I would take advantage of that single rider line. You can find this option at Test Track in Epcot, Millennium Falcon: Smuggles Run and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith- both in Disney's Hollywood Studios and Expedition Everest- Legend of the Forbidden Mountain at Disney's Animal Kingdom. You could then use Rider Switch at your discretion after that. Yet a third option would be to search for individual Fastpasses after you have enjoyed your first three. Often if your'e searching only for one, you'll have better luck.

I hope this helps as you're looking ahead to your Magical vacation. Another tip I will offer up is that while Mom or Dad is off riding, it can be a great time to take a snack break and say yes to that Mickey bar. I can tell you from experience that there is a snack stand very close to the entrance for Expedition Everest- Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. Check out the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck or Thirsty River Bar & Trek Snacks

Best wishes, June for a trip filled with thrills! Come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have,
