I have a 7 year old and 10 year old daughter and I am bringing them to Walt Disney World for the first time. What things should we be sure not to miss?

    Hi Robyn!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

A first visit to Walt Disney World Resort is a very exciting time, but can be overwhelming with all the choices and so much to see.  I would recommend you take some time to look at the official website, where you can read about all the attractions, and you can sort them by "age" to see what would be appropriate for your children.

Consider making a reservation for a character dinner - Chef Mickey's is always good fun (at Disney's Contemporary Resort), or dining with the Disney Princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table (located inside Cinderella Caste at the Magic Kingdom park) or at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot.  Dining reservations can be made online or by calling (407) 939 3463, up to 180 days in advance.  Cinderella's Royal Table is very popular so please call for this reservation at your earliest opportunity.

Your daughters may also enjoy a visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where they will be turned into princesses!  There are two boutiques - one at Cinderella Castle, and one inside the World of Disney Store at Downtown Disney.

If your children have any special preferences, or characters they love, please send me a direct question with all the details and I can help you find some experiences that they will be sure to enjoy!
