Hello! My 3 year old does very well wearing a mask for long periods of time, however he's not so used to wearing one in the heat Florida has to offer. So I was just curious if on certain rides he was allowed to remove it, such as Dumbo or Peter Pan?

Hi, Samantha! Thank you so much for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.

As you know, appropriate face coverings are required for all guests ages two and up, to help keep Guests and Cast Members safe. While you may remove your face coverings when you are actively eating and stationary, they must remain on fully covering your mouth and nose while riding all Theme Park attractions. Many have found it helpful to practice wearing their masks outdoors while walking at home to acclimate to walking around while visiting Walt Disney World Resort. I know Florida weather is much warmer than your current climate right now, but it will still help! Handheld cooling fans would also be beneficial while you are visiting to help keep you cool, and your little prince would think it is pretty neat to have his very own small fan all to himself!

Be sure to visit the Know Before You Go webpage before your arrival to learn more about what steps Walt Disney World Resort is taking during these unprecedented times to keep everyone healthy.

    Have a magical day, Samantha!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
