Does my 1 year old have to wear a mask when we visit WDW and resorts (she’ll be 22 months old when we visit)?

    Hi Diane,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for sending us your question regarding face coverings at Walt Disney World Resort.  I am so happy to see you will be visiting with your toddler in the new year, there is nothing more magical than seeing the magic of Disney through the eyes of your child!

As of right now,  all guests age 2 and over are required to wear a face covering while indoors, upon entering and throughout attractions and on Disney transportation including buses, the monorail and Disney Skyliner.  Since your toddler won't yet be 2 years old, they will not be required to wear a face covering, however the adults in your party will be.  It may be easier for you to bring a face covering or two for your toddler just in case, I have found that most little ones will want to be like everyone else when they see guests walking around with their face coverings.

Please keep in mind that due to the ever changing nature of the pandemic, rules and regulations are constantly changing in order to keep guest health and safety a priority.  I recommend reading the "Know Before You Go" page on the Walt Disney World Resort website for the most up to date information.  The Disney Parks Blog is also a great source of information regarding all things Disney that will help keep you informed for your upcoming visit.

I hope you make some wonderful memories at Walt Disney World Resort next year, Diane.  If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your visit, please come back to planDisney.  We are always happy to help in any way we can.
