My 6.5 year old who is 48” wants to go on Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racer. We are thinking of getting a premier pass for my son and me. With premier pass, can my son and I be in LL and we can ride Rise and Radiator Springs Racer together?

    Hey there Nancy,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! Personally, I have had so much fun taking my son on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers, so I'm thrilled to hear that you're considering taking your son to experience those attractions as well - core memories for sure!

The height requirement for both of these attractions is 40", so it sounds like you will be all set there. If you haven't experienced them yourself, just keep in mind that Radiator Springs Racers goes pretty fast at the end and there is an encounter with Frank the Combine - both of which made my son a bit nervous the first time he rode the attraction. On Rise of the Resistance, there is a small drop towards the end that caught my son off guard the first time as well.

My son ended up enjoying the attractions regardless, but each kiddo is different!

As for the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, you're exactly right! With the Premier Pass, you'll be able to enjoy one-time entry into each available Lightning Lane attractions, which includes these two attractions.

The one thing I want to point out though is that Rise of the Resistance is in Disneyland Park and Radiator Springs Racers is in Disney California Adventure Park, so you will need to have the Park Hopper option on your ticket so you can hop between the two parks starting at 11:00 AM each day of your visit.

Additionally, you do still need a theme park reservation for your starting park as well, so make sure you set that up along for your tickets. I like to set my park reservations through the My Plans hub on the Disneyland Resort website - I've found it to be a really convenient place to make or manage all the different kinds of reservations for my trips.

Thanks again for your question, Nancy! I hope you have a wonderful time making new magical memories on your trip later this month.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
