Hiya, Emily, and welcome back to planDisney!
As a mom of little ones and a wife to someone who utilizes the
Disability Access Service (DAS), I am more than happy to share with you what my family often does when checking into Lightning Lanes for attractions at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
First, you’ll want to set up DAS via a virtual registration 2-30 days before your vacation begins or on your first theme park visit at Guest Relations. Once a friendly Cast Member has set up your daughter and your family’s (up to five additional party members’) DAS passes, you’ll be ready to start your adventure!
What I love about DAS is that after your first 1-2 DAS selections that are created by a Cast Member, you can then create your following selections yourself! You will be able to do this in the
My Disney Experience app's DAS Self-Selection Tool. A DAS icon will appear on your home page once you’re all set up. Of course, you can always visit a Cast Member at the blue Guest Experience Team umbrellas that are scattered around each park.
Now, how exactly can you scan into those
Lightning Lanes? Having individual
MagicBands+ is the easiest way for everyone to tap into the magic; however, my family usually has all of their information on my cell phone, which is perfectly fine. So, just scan each party member’s MagicMobile Pass (that you can save to your phone’s digital wallet via the “Tickets and Passes” section in your app). You can also scan their physical theme park ticket cards as well. You can pick these up from Guest Relations or a ticket window at the start of your park day.
Emily, if you have any other questions, please
revisit us here at planDisney. I’d love to share some of my tips and tricks about taking your little one to this Happy Place. So long for now!
Magic always,
LeAndra
