hi, we have a 4 year old tiny girl who is a very difficult eater, likes to eat bread all day. If we want to do a character dining restaurant, can we ask for no meal for her or to order something small instead? $37 is a lot of money for an uneaten meal

    Welcome to planDisney Kim!

Your darling little 4-year-old must be so excited to be visiting Walt Disney World. What a magical age to meet all her Disney Pals!

All guests aged 3 and older will need to purchase a meal when dining at a buffet, family style dining, or "per person" dining experiences. Let your server know that your daughter has particular tastes, and they will do their best to accommodate. If you choose to do any table service dining, dining reservations are suggested and can be made up to 60 days in advance. Character dining is very popular, and times will fill quickly.

If you don't want to invest in character dining but want to have character interaction, meet Disney Friends in the parks. Meet Mickey at the Town Square Theater and Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom, or Disney Junior Pals in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Check out a full list of Character Meet and Greets throughout the parks!

Another great way to see your Disney Pals is during the Festival of Fantasy Parade at the Magic Kingdom. You will see so many characters on the beautiful floats as they march down Main Street USA. Sing and dance along! Be ready to snap some great pictures as you never know who might hop into the parade!

Wishing you and your family a magical visit to Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
