My 10 year old has a ticket with memory maker - how can he use the ticket on his own phone and access the photos?

    Hey there,

Welcome to planDisney! Pam, your little guy is going to love all the cool things he can do with this feature during his visit. He is one lucky little Mouseketeer having this August trip to look forward to.

The My Disney Experience App is a great tool, and he will be able to access his photos right from his phone. The first step would be making sure his ticket is linked to the login he will use once he is in the states. This app is only available to use once he has arrived here in the United States, and that’s an important detail. Another detail is Memory Maker will be activated once he visits his first park. There are 15 popular attractions that will capture his photos. He will either need to activate the Bluetooth on his device or have a linked MagicBand+ for them to automatically download. He will also be able to find Cast Members who have cameras and ask for his picture to be taken. The iconic picture in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom will be one he doesn’t want to miss. Once his picture is done the photographer will tap his phone or MagicBand to link the photos.
If he is really into taking photos he will also be able to find a camera option inside of the app which allows him to take selfies that are exclusive to the park he is visiting.

If he is staying at Disney Resort Collection Hotel guest in 2025 will be able to visit one of the water parks like Typhoon Lagoon for free on check-in day. That’s right no charge, just a free visit to make a big splash to start his visit. There are also PhotoPass photographers at these locations who will be ready to capture some of his moments cooling off. Another great option is going to be the 40+ character, meet and greets that are available throughout the parks. In some locations the PhotoPass photographers have access to something called a Magic Shot. Magic Shots are pictures where a character is added later based on whatever action the photographer had you do. I’ve seen Tinker Bell in my family‘s hand as well as Bambi, Thumper and Flower added to our picture at Animal Kingdom. If for some reason, you have issues and are not able to get it linked to his phone I would recommend calling for help by phone. No matter what, it sounds like this visit is going to be amazing for your 10 year old son, and Memory Maker is going to help capture all of those memories.

    See ya real soon,

    Jeremy A.
