I have a 4 and 9 year old and we are thinking of going to one park in the morning and taking an afternoon break at our resort hotel and then visit another park at night. Which is the best Resort Hotel to stay at for Park Hopping?

    Hello Dawn!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you so much for allowing me to help you plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. You are going to have an incredible time visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Afternoon naps are an amazing idea! My kids definitely enjoy resting for a couple of hours or even hitting the pool for a bit of a refresher. Disney's complimentary resort transportation offers a hassle-free way to move about the resort property, so really, any resort hotel you choose will be wonderful and easily accessible. The resort hotels are grouped by proximity to the theme parks, so if there is a certain park you feel like you will be visiting most often, I would suggest staying at one of the properties nearby. The three "monorail resorts" offer breathtaking views of Cinderella Castle and a quick ride to Magic Kingdom Park. These resorts include: Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. One of our favorite places to stay is at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Not only does this resort offer a splashtastic, 3-acre water wonderland (Stormalong Bay) your kids would love, it is also within walking distance to Epcot, through the International Gateway. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is closest in proximity to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and the sweeping views of the savannas are incredible. Honestly, you can't go wrong with your choice. The buses make traveling about so easy, you should pick whichever resort appeals to your family the most. We love the themes at resorts such as Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney's Art of Animation Resort and have never had any trouble taking a mid-day break.

I hope this helps, Dawn, but please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with.

    Magical Wishes,
    Lauren
