we have a 2 year old, therefore will not buy a ticket. Can I still add her for the reservation?

    Hi Angie,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for sending us your question.  I am happy to hear you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort with your toddler.  Some of my favorite memories of my daughter are when we were visiting Walt Disney World Resort and now that she is older, I cherish those beautiful memories we have together as a family.

While your 2 year old will not require a Theme Park Ticket or a reservation using the Disney Park Pass system, they will need to be included on your reservation for your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.  It is important for the Resort Hotels to have information regarding guests in each resort hotel room, for capacity limits as well as fire safety.  It will also be needed should you choose to use Disney's Magical Express, as they require information regarding the number of people in your party.

Also, if you choose to make Advanced Dining Reservations, please include your toddler in the total number of guests.  The Dining Locations will need the entire party accounted for, again for capacity reasons.  Including your toddler in the reservation makes it easier for the Cast Members at the Dining Location to prepare the tables and for the guests visiting daily, making turnaround time more efficient.

As I said earlier, some of my most cherished memories are from when my daughter was a toddler and seeing the magic through her eyes.  I would highly recommend taking the time to book Capture Your Moment - A Disney Parks Photo Experience with your toddler.  This 20 minute one-on-one personalized photo session with a Disney PhotoPass Photographer is a great way to capture some beautiful memories of your family's visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  The photo session takes place at Magic Kingdom Park and the photographer will work with you to select some fabulous locations, depending on what you would like.  I like how this photo session is short and sweet, the perfect amount of time to hold a toddler's attention and not take up too much of your day either.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Angie.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
