Will my 14 and 10 year old sons have to share a bed at pop century?

    Welcome to planDisney Julie!

Disney's Pop Century Resort is a fabulous choice for your stay at Walt Disney World. The larger-than-life POP icons are fun and the access to the Disney Skyliner is a real bonus!

Rooms at Pop Century have the option of 1 king bed or 1 queen bed with a 2nd pull down queen bed. Since this is a Value Resort, rooms are not huge, especially when the 2nd bed is pulled down for sleeping. IF you are able to get a rollaway cot, it will be such a tight squeeze that there won't be any wiggle room at all! I have heard conflicting answers, but last I checked the front desk said they have a very limited quantity of rollaway cots for an additional charge, if available. Not to rain on your parade, but I would not count on one, and if you get one, it is a bonus!

To request a rollaway cot, I would call a few days prior to arrival to make the request. Then, upon arrival I would pop by the front desk to inquire.

Another "Value" option would be a Family Suite at Disney's All-Star Music Resort or Disney's Art of Animation Resort. These rooms have 3 beds (can sleep up to 6) and here is the real bonus: Value Family Suites have 2 full bathrooms! Now THAT is a bit of Disney magic! The Family Suites will cost more than a standard room at Disney's Pop Century, but it might be worth it for the extra space.

I hope you find the perfect room for your magical visit to Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
