I have a 10 year old son, who will be visiting Disney for the first time. He is really into buillding and robotics. What are the best attractions for him to see to spark his imagination in this direction. sue

    Sue:

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

My bright 11-year-old son (whose son isn't bright?!) LOVES visiting the Innovations buildings at EPCOT.  For all the real estate they take up at the parks, they don't get near the traffic they should!  So, even if the parks are chock-full, they'll be a welcome respite where your son can go at his own pace!  Another fun pit stop is the lab at the end of Spaceship Earth--especially in the evenings when other guest have moved to World Showcase!

We also love LegoLand at Downtown Disney, simply to see the possibilities in the lego statues found along the riverwalk.  And our visit to WDW wouldn't be complete without a heading to DisneyQuest.  My  boys think playing arcade games without having to keep a pocketful of quarters is d'bomb.  Our favorites, though, are CyberMountain where we create—and then ride (in a simulator, of course)—our roller coasters; Animation Academy; and all of Create Zone, where there are a lot of hands-on activities.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
