My 13 year old son has Type 1 diabetes. Are there any options for shorter lines for the rides/experiences we don't have a fast pass?

Hello, Brooke! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'd love to help you find a way to ensure your son has a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Currently, Walt Disney World offers a Disability Access Service Card (DAS) to Guests that cannot wait in the conventional stand-by line queues for medical reasons. If you feel like your son would benefit from this service, make sure to visit Guest Relations upon arrival at the Disney Theme Park of your choice to obtain the Disability Access Service Card. Once issued, the card will be valid for up to 14 days or the length of days on your ticket.

To make the most of this service, one member of your party should bring the card to a Cast Member at the attraction that your son wishes to visit. The Cast Member will issue a return time that is comparable to the current stand-by wait time. Your son will need to present the card before boarding the ride with you.

Guests are permitted one return time at a time, so I highly suggest utilizing Disney's FastPass+ service as well to make the most of your experience.

If you have any additional questions before your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel, Brooke. Have a magical day!
