Hi Wendy!
My son has multiple food allergies so I can tell you that in my experience, the Chefs and Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort have always done a fantastic job of making sure my son can eat safe and tasty meals during our trip, despite his special diet. In fact, they have entire Special Diets Team dedicated to make sure that Guests with
food allergies and dietary restrictions have fantastic experiences vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort.
In general, my experience has been that table service restaurants have larger kitchens and access to larger pantries, so they can handle more special diet accommodations than quick service restaurants. Based on the items that are excluded from your son's diet, I recommend that you contact the Special Diets Team directly by emailing them at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. They can provide the most updated lists of restaurants and dining options that will be able to accommodate your son based on his specific restrictions and the latest menu availability. In fact, in the past they have even provided me in lists of safe foods for my son at dining locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
Just like you, I often bring food and snack options with us into the theme parks. Keep in mind that your cooler must be smaller than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high and you cannot use any glass containers. Restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort cannot store or prepare any outside food. There are
locker rental facilities at the front of every theme park, but you may want to consider bringing your cooler with you to have better control of the cooler temperature considering the Florida heat.
Please let us know if you have additional questions as you continue to prepare for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
