Dearest Christina.
There are truly no words of sympathy that can ease your indescribable, heartbreaking loss. Upon finding your question in the Moms Panel queue today, I was met with great sadness and my mother's heart simply aches for yours during this very difficult time.
Having personally volunteered with an organization in Central Florida that helps families struggling to maintain hope in the midst of a child's life threatening illness, I have no doubt that your entire family is in desperate need of time to reconnect with one another. Experiencing the magic of Walt Disney World as a family is quite possibly one of the best ways to work through this grieving period together as you honor the memory of your dear son. During the holidays, the spirit of the season is everywhere you look and you're sure to find joy in some of the simplest moments of quality time spent together.
One very special place that I have always found inspirational in Magic Kingdom is the
Cinderella Wishing Well. On past visits, my family and I have visited this picturesque location to drop coins into the well while sending good thoughts to those in need of extra love and joy in their lives. Perhaps this would be the perfect spot for each of your four children to share a special memory about their beloved brother before dropping a pixie-dusted penny into the waters below. Be sure to take your time returning to Main Street, U.S.A. by walking through the beautiful Magic Kingdom Rose Garden as you exit this secluded area.
Please feel free to send more questions my way prior to your trip. Wishing you and your family peace and happy memories during your vacation.
