Welcome to planDisney, Rachel!
I'm so glad you dropped by with your question today. As a mom of my own tween, I know firsthand that kids in this age group come with their own set of challenges during a Walt Disney World Resort visit. While they're old enough to want some independence (especially if they have access to their own devices), they might not be ready for all the features and responsibility –– not to mention being under the ripe old age of 13 –– that comes with having their own
My Disney Experience account. Let me share a few details about what your tween will need to access the Batuu Bounty Hunters game, as well as other super-cool new tech features, during your upcoming visit.
While kids need to be at least 13 years of age to create their own My Disney Experience account, there isn't any kind of age restriction to use the
Play Disney Parks mobile app. And the best part? You'll only need access to the Play Disney Parks app in order to experience all the fun of new quests like Batuu Bounty Hunters and the Disney Fab 50 Quest. To enable the app and all its features on your son's mobile device, simply download the app, set the Bluetooth, location access, and notification levels that you prefer, and click the blue "Let's Play" button –– from there, your son will be all set to head out for his out-of-this-world adventure in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Rachel. I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you need more information or think of something new before your next Walt Disney World Resort visit, please feel free to stop by again –– we're always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
