My 5-year old son loves trains. How old do you have to be to do the Behind Our Steam Trains Tour?

    Welcome Back Ciara ~

Walt Disney had a love of trains and that explains why there are some great ones at the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney's The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour is an excellent way to gain insight into the history of the trains at the Magic Kingdom and how they work. Guests must be at least 10-years old to participate in the tour. That may be a great birthday present for your son in a few years.

In the meantime, your son can enjoy riding the trains on the Walt Disney World Railroad in the Magic Kingdom. He may also enjoy the Wildlife Express Train at Disney's Animal Kingdom. There is something a little different about that train.

If you are visiting Epcot, be sure to check out the miniature train garden in the German Pavilion.

At Downtown Disney, you can find the Marketplace Train Express near Disney's Pin Traders and Once Upon a Toy. It is pretty small, but young train lovers may enjoy it. Speaking of Once Upon a Toy, there is a great train that runs inside near the ceiling.

Your son may also enjoy riding the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in the Magic Kingdom. Don't forget the monorail. It is like a train in the sky.

I have seen some great train sets available to purchase in the parks that would make a great souvenEAR for your son.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
