I have a 3.5 year old son who I would love to take on the Haunted Mansion ride (my favorite!). Do you think that's too young? He's not scared of ghosts, but I don't know how he'd do being immersed in a haunted house. Any experience with young kids on it?

    Hi Nickie!

I think it is hit or miss as it is highly guest dependent.  I have two boys, ages 13 and 8.  When they were that young, my oldest son had no problems going on the Haunted Mansion.  However, my youngest son would not go in the Haunted Mansion until he was 7 years old!  Literally!  My wife and I tried to convince him to give it a try but we didn't want to force him.  He was absolutely fascinated with the Haunted Mansion and could sit outside it for a couple of hours just staring at it and listening to the spooky sounds coming out of it.  In fact, hanging outside the Haunted Mansion was something he wanted to do on every trip.  However, he would not go in until this past year!  I've heard similar stories from other guests.

My recommendation is to try it and to try and convince your son that is more fun and less scary.  However, don't be surprised if just the name of the attraction itself is too scary!

Good luck and please write back with more questions!
