Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristin!
You are correct: sign-ups for
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple are only available on the same day your youngling would like to participate. While we haven’t received a definitive answer about which attractions will be open during the
extra, Extra Magic Hours from 6-9 a.m. at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a limited time this Fall, typically sign-ups for Jedi Training do occur during “regular”
Extra Magic Hours. When my daughter last participated, she and my husband arrived at the Park about 30 minutes before it opened and headed straight to the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost (located between the
50's Prime Time Cafe and the
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular) after entering. Since your visit isn’t until October, I would suggest following the
Disney Parks Blog or checking back with us after the extra, Extra Magic Hours begin Aug. 29 to see exactly which attractions and experiences will be available during that extended time.
As far as coordinating show times with your
FastPass+ reservations, if you’re early enough to sign up for Jedi Training, you should be able to choose from a list of showtimes and find one that works with your FastPass windows. Although times and availability are always subject to change (and shows can be canceled for inclement weather), there are currently 15 possible showtimes available (beginning at 9:40 a.m. and continuing until 7 p.m.). Check the “Entertainment” option from the dropdown menu at the top of the map on the home screen of your
My Disney Experience mobile app to see the possible times available.
I hope your little Jedi has a chance to use the Force to defeat the Empire, Kristin! And with
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge open during your visit, he’s sure to have an adventure that’s out of this world.
May the Force be with you,
Amy
