Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elaine!
All together now: "DuckTales woo-oo!" I love DuckTales. That show is
hilarious. So, naturally, I love this question. To put a twist on the theme song, let’s solve a mystery – but not rewrite history – as we figure out where those ducks who are up to "derring-do, bad and good luck tales" can be found at the Walt Disney World Resort.
My son and I had a blast meeting Launchpad McQuack and Scrooge McDuck at
Donald’s Dino-Bash! at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you haven’t been to this prehistoric party, you must plan to attend. Donald Duck has discovered that his ancestors are dinosaurs, and he is throwing a great big celebration with his pals. Not only can you meet Donald, Daisy, and those DuckTales friends, you can also meet Chip n’ Dale in the cutest dinosaur costumes. It’s one of my favorite character interactions anywhere at Walt Disney World! Note that character experiences and schedules are subject to change, so I like to use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to search for characters when I'm in the theme parks.
As for
Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure, that’s still a mission through
Epcot’s World Showcase to defeat Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated. I haven’t heard of any official plans for Duckburg’s team of crime fighters to move over to Epcot, and I actually love that Phineas and Ferb still have a presence in the Disney theme parks, as I think they’re awesome too (I mean, who else gives a monkey a shower?). I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, as that’s where any changes to Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure or Donald’s Dino-Bash, or new DuckTales or Phineas and Ferb plans would be announced.
I think your son and I have a lot in common, as I consider myself Donald Duck’s #1 fan…which is perfect since Donald considers himself to be #1. Donald loves meeting his adoring fans, and there are a lot of character experiences where your son can say hi to his quack-tastic pal. My favorite place to
meet Donald is breakfast at
Cape May Café at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Not only is this a solid, kid-friendly buffet, but the characters are in fantastic swim costumes, and my family had so much fun with Donald.
Elaine, have so much fun counting down the days to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. If we can help with your planning and Disney dreaming, please stop by again! It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow Guest…especially one with such great taste in Disney shows and characters.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
