Hi Donna,
How exciting that your magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is less than one month away! Have you started an official countdown yet? Your trip will be here before you know it, and all of your Disney dreams will be coming true!
I'm happy to let you know that yes, if you rent a wheelchair at the International Gateway entrance at
Epcot, you'll be able to return it at either of the Epcot
wheelchair rental locations at the end of the day. Did you know, too, that your rental will be valid for the whole day, and if you're hopping to a different theme park at some point in the day, you may show your receipt at the next location without needing to pay again? Also, length of stay rentals are available, and can save you some money on your price per day. Having traveled to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" with extended family members who needed to rent a wheelchair, I know what a blessing they can be. Here's a guide for
navigating the attractions with a mobility disability that I hope will be helpful to you. I also have a Mouseketeer with autism, and I'm happy to share that our family has always found the Cast Members to be friendly and accommodating, the
services provided to Guests traveling with special needs to be quite helpful, and the Walt Disney World Resort to be a magical vacation destination for
everyone!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Donna, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your son have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
