It will just be me and my 5 year old son for a 2 day trip. I don't want him to miss out on any rides/attractions. I will likely be carrying a backpack throughout the day. Are these allowed on rides? It's just us and won't have someone to hol

Hello Dina, and thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You and your son will have a delightful two-day trip to the Disneyland Resort. Rest assured that you will be able to keep your backpack with you on the rides. I carry a backpack on each Disneyland trip, and I've never encountered any issue with taking it on rides. A backpack is a great place to stash snacks, water bottles, sunscreen, and light jackets. However, if there are things you would like to stow away, lockers are provided at both California Adventure and Disneyland for a small rental fee.

Some rides will provide you a small mesh pocket to fit your belongings in. If your backpack is too big, it's no issue to tuck it behind your leg. Because Guests WILL get wet and possibly soaked on Grizzly River Run, lockers are available for Guests to use while they enjoy the ride. They are located at the ride entrance and free for the first two hours.

I hope this information is helpful in planning your upcoming trip with your son. Wishing you an Unforgettable trip! Please come back to visit me if you have further questions.

    Have a magical day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
