Hi there, John! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am so sorry to hear about your son’s broken arm! It’s always such a bummer to go on vacation when you aren’t in tip-top condition. However, you’ll be glad to know that there aren’t any specific restrictions that would prevent your son from riding attractions due to his broken arm. If he doesn’t have a waterproof cast, he will want to avoid
Splash Mountain and
Grizzly River Run as there is a good chance he will get soaked and ruin the cast. The only other attraction that might pose some difficulty is Toy Story Midway Mania. In order to operate the shooting mechanism, you typically need to use two hands, but depending on how mobile his arm is he might be able to make it work.
Additionally, he will want to take caution on any attractions that may bump or jostle his arm too much. If he can manage to sit in the ride vehicle so his broken arm remains on the inside of the vehicle instead of on the outside edge, that might be best. If there are any attractions that you are particularly concerned about, watch some ride through videos online to get an idea of which attractions he will be comfortable riding. You can also sort the
Attractions page by “Health Advisory” to see the list of attractions that might be a bit on the wild side.
I know you and your family are going to have a fabulous time at the Happiest Place on Earth! See ya real soon!
