Hello, Joni!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! One of my most cherished memories is of my Padawan, who has special needs, battling Darth Maul during a Jedi training session. I remember that he smiled the entire time, even during the light saber duel!
You will find that
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple is wheelchair user accessible. However, parents are typically not permitted to accompany trainees on stage. After a few phone calls with Guest Relations Cast Members, I have been told that for the safety of participants and Cast Members, special arrangements must be made for parent assistance during the training show. Therefore, you will need to visit
Guest Relations at
Disney's Hollywood Studios to make this request and do so as soon as the theme park opens. It is important to note that this is a request, and as the Cast Members stressed to me, that there is
no guarantee of arrangements. Cast Members will do their best, but there are times accommodations cannot be made. Also, keep in mind that shows are held outdoors and can be subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather.
Thank you for your question, Joni. I hope your young Padawan learns the ways of Force at Jedi training and makes an unforgettable
Star Wars memory. Please visit us again should you have other questions about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
May the Force be with you!
Missy
