I have a 3 and a 5 year old and we are planning on going in Dec. Would you rec Riverside or Caribbean resort (we would upgrade at carib)? Our last stay was at Wilderness but we wanted to save some $ this go around. Thanks!

    Hi Thomas!

Wow!  That is a really tough question...Port Orleans-Riverside is my FAVORITE moderate resort...we LOVE it there...but...I do have a special place in my heart for Caribbean Beach Resort as well!

My boys love, love LOVE the pirate themed kiddie water area at Caribbean Beach, so if the weather is warm enough to enjoy it, they'll love it!  If you upgrade to a preferred room and Caribbean Beach, then would would be closer to the amenities as well.  I really do enjoy the 'island' feel as well--enjoying the sunrise/sunset on the sand beach is wonderful as well!

At Port Orleans-Riverside, my boys love the boat ride to Downtown Disney, as well as the beignets just a short walk away at Port Orleans-French Quarter.  I love the stately 'mansions' and the majestic oak trees as well.

It's really a toss up!  If you are looking for that 'tropical feel' for your vacation, I'd go for Caribbean Beach--it's a nice way to feel 'away from it all' when you really aren't

No matter which you choose...have a magical vacation!
