    My 12 year old has his own phone. How can I make him an account so he can use his own phone as a ticket and room key?

     Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer. It looks like your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just about to begin! I bet you and your family are counting down the days with excitement. 

     Your 12-year old is going to just love the adventure-filled days you experience in the theme parks. I think our most recent visit this summer was my 11-year old's favorite Disney vacation to date! He especially loved all the force-filled experiences he had on the planet Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I bet your son will enjoy it just the same!

     The minimum age requirement to create and sign in to a My Disney Experience account is 16-years of age. Since your son is only 12-years old, he's not eligible yet for his own account. If you'd like your son to have access to features on the My Disney Experience mobile app for your upcoming stay, you would need to allow him to sign in under your account on his smartphone. He may also enjoy the convenience of a MagicBand, which he can use to open your room door and to scan at the touchpoints for entry into the theme parks!

     Be sure to review the Know Before You Go section of the Walt Disney World Resort website before your arrival this week. It has lots of important information about the health and safety measures that are being taken in and out of the theme parks!
