Can my 10 year old still order from the kids menu if she does not like the adult menu choices?

    Hello Elysia,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you might be in the middle of planning where to dine, looking through menus to find something your entire family will enjoy.

Walt Disney world is one of the easiest places to go if you have food allergies or dietary needs. While, not liking a menu item doesn't fall under either of those categories, Cast Members will do their best to make sure every guest enjoys his/her dining experience. If you or your child wants an item off of the kids menu, that is certainly allowed. You'll most likely be served a larger portion of the kids menu item that you order.

If you are nervous about finding foods that will appeal to your child, I recommend choosing restaurants that serve family style. That way you can sample a little bit of everything, and everyone is sure to find something that they'll love. Ohana, Liberty Tree Tavern, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and Garden Grill are some of my family's favorites.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
