Hi there, Melissa! My daughter recently hit the 42" mark and had a blast riding Grizzly River Run during our visit last month! She giggled with glee the entire time, especially when I was the lucky one to take a splash head-on.
The raft on
Grizzly River Run only has a safety belt that latches across the waist and then there is a ring in the center of the raft to hold on to if you wish. The belt was adjustable and I was confident that my 4-year-old was secure in her seat. If you want to try to keep your feet as dry as possible, there is small ledge both under your seat and under the center ring so you can prop your feet up. There are also lockers to keep your belongings dry located near the queue entrance that are free for the first two hours.
For more splashes over in Disneyland Park, take a ride on my all-time favorite attraction
Splash Mountain! I see that you asked a question about this attraction a few days ago and I'd like to share a little secret with you...you actually
can ride with your little one on this attraction at the Disneyland Resort! The very back seat of the log is designed for two riders (usually an adult and a child) and this is how we ride with our daughter every time. While it's absolutely safe for anyone who meets the height requirement to sit in any seat on the log, I still get a bit nervous and like to hold on to her as we plummet down five stories into the briar patch. Though it won't be long before she's begging to sit in the very first seat because she is quite the thrill-seeker!
Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have. Since our children are similar in age, height, and their love for thrill attractions, I would be elated to share some more tips with you!
