Hi Joy Marie!
Thanks for your question.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is ghoulishly good. The
Not So Spooky Spectacular fireworks show is amazing, not just for the fireworks, but also the incredible images projected on Cinderella Castle during the performance will simply blow your mind! You will also be dazzled with the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and of course, all the many trick-or-treat stations located throughout
Disney's Magic Kingdom.
Although I'm not privy to the actual design of the dinosaur costume your son would be looking to wear, there are
a few advisories I'd like to highlight when on premises:
*The costume cannot be obstructive. This is true both walking throughout the theme parks and particularly getting on or off theme park attractions.
*Masks are permitted, but cannot cover the entire face and eyes must be visible.
*Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
*Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground (would the dinosaur tail drag?).
If any of what's stated above may be true for the dinosaur costume, I would strongly encourage finding another costume that may also fit your son's interests. As you mention, you (as well as the Moms Panel) want your son to have the most magical time ever, and we'd hate for anything to occur that would prevent him from showcasing his costume or enjoying his time at Disney.
May you, son, and your entire family have a spelltacular time at Disney!
Terry
