Ahoy Kathy –
The count-down to your June cruise is coming, and I know your pirate crew must be excited! Disney Cruise Line vacations are the best way for my pirate family to relax, unwind and reconnect with each other. There will be so many amazing family activities to enjoy both together and apart that your family will treasure this time together for many years to come. The Youth Clubs onboard allow the youngest cruisers to experience a vacation all on their own and make new friends to share their experiences. The
Oceaneer Club is for sea pups ages 3-12 and is supervised by specially trained youth counselors who not only care for your children, but they also make sure they have plenty of fun. During secured programming, no other age groups are allowed in the Oceaneer Club, but every day there will be Open House hours that allow for all age groups to come and play along with a supervising parent. Your 10 and 14-year-old could hang out together in
Edge, which is a tween club for ages 11-14, but only if written parental consent is given for the 10-year-old to participate. Edge does not have secure programming, so your pirate tweens will be able to come and go at will.
Vibe is for teen pirates aged 14-17 years, and your 18-year-old will not be able to visit this club during secure hours. My entire pirate crew (ages 5, 11 and the adults) would go to Vibe during Open House to enjoy the video games there, and perhaps your crew could meet up too. Do not forget there will be plenty of other places for your family to bond like Karaoke, Bingo, Deck Parties, Dance Parties, the Sports Deck and Buena Vista Theatre (first run Hollywood movies). Thanks for visiting with us, Kathy, and have a great cruise next month!
