My 9 year old is interested in visiting the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique during our Feb trip. I am worried that this experience is aimed for younger girls. Is there a 'beauty' or 'spa-like' experience that is aimed for tweens?

Hi Christine! What an exciting time to be planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort!

My niece was 9 years old when she first visited the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and she absolutely loved it! I too was worried that she may have been too old, but her Fairy Godmother-in-training was fantastic. She treated her like a young lady and made her feel so special.

However, another really fun option is to “sail away with The Pirates League” at Magic Kingdom Park. Here, your daughter will be given an official Pirates name, and she will be transformed into an Empress or a Mermaid. If she decides to be an Empress, she will get to choose her makeup, she will receive an earring and a bandana, and she will even take a pirate oath. The Mermaid Package will leave her glowing! In true Mermaid fashion, her nails, makeup, and even her hair will be done for her.  While The Pirates League isn’t as glitzy as a visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, the experience is unforgettable. Our family had so much fun at The Pirates League; we were smiling and laughing the entire time. What I really love about this experience is that adults can join in on the fun and you can be transformed right alongside your kids! Imagine the look on your Mermaid’s face if mom and/or dad turned into Swashbucklin’ Pirates! It is important to note, reservations are highly recommended and can be made 180 days in advance. They ask you to bring your own brush or comb and have bare nails, and costumes are not included in the cost of the makeover.

I think that whatever option you choose your daughter will have a fantastic time! Have a magical trip and please stop back with any questions you may have!
