Have 5 year old grandson who wants to eat in one of the cars at the Sci-Fi Diner but we will be a party of six. Do some of the cars accommodate six or do we automatically have to go to table?

    Hi Joanne,

I've got some good news for you! There are a handful of cars in the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant that seat six guests!!

I've got some more good news for you! They now have fried pickles on the appetizer menu!!

(Sorry for the detour...it's hard to find good fried pickles these days and I just get so excited about these little suckers that I want to spread the word whenever I can!)

    Back to your question!

When you check-in for your reservation, feel free to ask the cast member if it would be possible to be seated in one of the cars instead of a regular table. If you're told that it may delay your seating by a few minutes, I think it would definitely be worth the wait because they really enhance the overall experience.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

The movie trailers shown on the big screen depict some pretty funny sci-fi films from yesteryear. If your grandson is not a fan of getting shots at the doctor's office, then you might want to distract him during the trailer for "The Amazing Colossal Man." Sometimes the cast members embellish the scene with their own reactions, so a little comedy might soften the blow a bit.

I hope that helps! Please feel free to write back if you should have any additional questions (especially food-related questions!) and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
