My 3 year old grandson suffers from severe asthma. Not sure how he will do in the Florida heat and humidity. He has to carry an inhaler in case of emergency. Is this a disability that Disney would recognize as far as allowing him to get into the shorter

    Hello Patty,

I can understand your concern for your grandson's sever asthma in the Florida heat, because it can be brutal at times. If you are concerned that your grand-son may have difficulty I recommend that you obtain a Guest Assistance Card. This card is for guests that have non-apparent health issues that require them to need special handling. You would go to guest relations and explain your grandson's condition, and you will be asked some questions. The Cast Member will determine what special handling would make your trip a little easier. These options could be anything from waiting inside when there is no shaded areas in the line queue, to having the option to use special entrances to walk right up to the rides. The GAC is good for up to 6 family members. While not required, a note from a physician explaining your grandsons condition will reinforce why the special handling is necessary. Good luck Patty!
