Welcome back to planDisney, Susan! I'm glad that you sailed by with your question.
I'm not sure when your sail date is, but other Guests may cancel this
Port Adventure, allowing you to book your grandson and keep your reservation. This will require you to continue to check the
Disney Cruise Line website or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for an opening. I have a friend who had the same thing happen to her, unfortunately. After checking the website every day, a reservation eventually opened up, and she could book the Port Adventure.
If you need to cancel, please note the cancellation policy of most Port Adventures is 3 days prior to sailing. You can check your Port Adventure cancellation policy on the Disney Cruise Line website because it could be different. If you do not cancel by the deadline, the Port Adventure is non-refundable, and you will be charged.
Susan, with a bit of pixie dust, I hope there is an opening for your grandson on your Port Adventure. If not, check out the other Port Adventures offered for your Port of Call. Sometimes, there are very similar ones. For example, two Port Adventures may go to the same beach, but one includes lunch, and the other does not. If you have any other questions, come back to visit us at
planDisney.
Bon Voyage!
